Classification of engineering files
Engineering files are generally classified according to shape, pitch and usage specifications.
1. Classify according to shape:
Flat file: It is used to process planes and the connection between planes and planes. It can be divided into single-cut flat files and double-cut flat files.
Square file: It is used to process right-angled surfaces and corners, and can also be used to process the corners of arc surfaces.
Round file: used for machining cylindrical, spherical and curved surfaces.
Triangular file: for machining inside and outside corners and narrow seams.
Half round file: for machining narrow grooves and deep holes.
2. Classification according to tooth distance:
Fine-tooth file: The tooth pitch is small, and it is used for processing precision parts.
Medium-tooth file: The tooth pitch is relatively medium, and it is often used to process general parts.
Coarse tooth files: large tooth pitch, used for rough processing and metal finishing.
3. Classified according to usage specifications:
Manual file: manual operation, often used in small batch processing and precision parts processing.
Machine file: It is suitable for mass production and efficient processing, and generally needs to be used in conjunction with mechanical equipment.
